Joe S. Wakil, MD
Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Wakil has over 15 years experience in the medical products industry. In 1983, he co-founded Corazonix Corporation, a cardiovascular instrument manufacturer concentrating in the ultrasound and electrophysiology product areas. Corazonix eventually licensed technologies to AH Robins, Hewlett Packard and Arrhythmia Research Technologies. In 1986, Dr. Wakil founded EyeSys Technologies, Inc., a "leading edge" technology development company in the eye care field. EyeSys has grown to a $10 million operation and is largely credited with establishing the field of corneal topography. EyeSys sells its products through an extensive worldwide distribution network covering 80 countries with over 3,500 ophthalmologists and optometrists as customers. Dr. Wakil has held various positions with EyeSys, including Chief Executive Officer, and is currently Chairman of the Board of EyeSys. As an internationally recognized educator in his field, Dr. Wakil has lectured extensively throughout the world. His formal education includes a B.S. Degree in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University, a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering from Rice University, and a Medical Degree from Baylor College of Medicine (1990).

Ray Sievert
Head of Sales & Marketing
Mr. Sievert came to Tracey with 25 years experience in ophthalmic sales and sales management. Receiving a BA degree in Journalism from LSU in Baton Rouge, Lousiana, Sievert began his career selling radio advertising before signing on as a territory sales representative with Barnes Hind Hydrocurve in 1983 where he began a long association with the contact lens and solution innovator. This position led to Regional Manager and Sales Director roles where he eventually managed over $40 Million in sales to national distributors and retail chains. Sievert joined EyeSys Technologies, the innovator in corneal topography, as head of sales for North America. When that Premier Lasers aquired EyeSys, Sievert moved on to become the Vice President of National Accounts for Akorn, a generic pharmaceutical manufacturer, also in the ophthalmic industry. While at Akorn, Sievert created a period of dramatic sales growth driving a 500% sales increase in just over three years. After that success, Sievert, as Vice President of Trade Sales, helped commercialize the entrance of Santen, Inc. into the US market by seeding the branded ophthalmic pharamaceuticals into the major wholesalers and completely stocking the top 15 pharmaceutical retailers. Most recently, Sievert has been head of sales of HUB Pharmaceuticals, an innovative diagnostic and in-office-use pharmaceutical company.
Ioannis G. Pallikaris, MD
Director of Clinical Affairs
Dr. Pallikaris is a world renowned practicing refractive surgeon and clinician. Dr. Pallikaris serves as the Dean of the School of Ophthalmology at the University of Crete, Greece, and is viewed by many as the "father of LASIK Surgery", being one of the first to perform the procedure and coin the phrase Laser Assisted In-Situ Keratomiliesis (LASIK). Dr. Pallikaris brings to the company over 30 years of clinical, research and development, and hands on medical experience necessary to developing advanced refractive technologies that are both efficacious and practical. Dr. Pallikaris is also a co-inventor of the company's point-by-point ray tracing technology.
